Technology Strategies for Managing Demand in Fast-Moving Consumer Industries

An independent Aberdeen Group study on the demand management practices of companies identified the following characteristics of Best in Class companies:

  • Twice as likely to have higher market share than their competitors

  • One and a half times as likely to have better fulfillment

  • Twice as likely to have improved profit margins over the past two years

During this webcast, Nari Viswanathan, Research Director, Supply Chain & Logistics at Aberdeen Group will share the results from the Demand Management report. Nari will provide insight into the business processes of Demand Forecasting, Collaboration, Promotions Management and Analytics and how best-in-class companies manage these processes differently than their peers. Nari Viswanathan is Research Director in Aberdeen Group's Supply Chain & Logistics Practice. Nari specializes in order to delivery and S&OP processes. Previous to joining Aberdeen Group, Nari was a senior product manager at i2 Technologies. Past experience includes a multi-year change management and IT enablement initiative at a large automotive manufacturer in Asia and process re-engineering of a large North American distribution network. Nari's business process and technology expertise includes demand management, manufacturing management, and demand fulfillment.

Andrew Kinder  - Product Marketing Director, Infor, Supply Chain Management  
Andrew Kinder is responsible for defining the strategy and global marketing of Infor’s supply chain management solution.  He has a deep knowledge of supply chain planning gained over 20 years of involvement in the industry both as a user and implementer of supply chain solutions.  Prior to Infor, Andrew worked for Demand Planning specialists Mercia Software, where he was Vice President of Operations for the UK and Netherlands and for Marcam Corporation, focused in the consumer products market. Both companies and solutions are now part of Infor.
